Instrument Cluster Connections 700

Does anybody have a picture of what an '88 740 Turbo's back of instrument cluster picture? I'm trying to find out whether I have the right wires connected to the back of the spedometer or not. (Cruise Control Doesn't work)
Thanks!

    coolman,

I'll try to explain what my Volvo wiring diagram has for this area.

    first for the speedo...

looking at the back of the instrument pannel, in the middle, just slightly above the row of warning lights are three connectors; 1, 2, 3. As you look at them from the back 3 is on the left and 1 is on the right.

    1=green-white; from speedometer transmitter
2=brown; to ground pannel in central electrical unit
3=blue-red; hot (12v+) from ignition switch

There is one more wire for the speedo:

Brown= "Speedometer ground fuel level sensor"

It's pin 6 of the 12 pin "C" connector- upper right, looking at the back of the cluster.

Now for the cruise control page....

The only wire I see going to the speedo is a Yellow wire going from
position 5 on the Cruise control Control unit to "E" on the instrument cluster.

Look right in the middle of the cluster for a group of spade connectors,
    They are "E", "F", and "H"

Unfortunately E is shown to the right of the group and in the middle of this group in seperate diagrams.
In both diagrams E is a double spade connector (male).

E is listed as "Digital output, cruise control"

These connections, 1-2-3 and E-F-H may each have a common plug, the wiring book does not show this.

Sorry but I have not looked at my cluster yet but will soon as I plan to hook up a low coolant light.

Hopefully things are labled on the cluster.

Good luck and feel free to email if you need more info.

Oh yeah, when my cruise quit it was because of a cracked vacuume hose near the firewall in the engine bay.

Before you start on the cluster, I would look under the hood. My factory cruise, the wire was too short, and kept pulling out of the connector.

Already did, all vac lines look good, I took a good suckin to them and the vacuum cylinder that pulls on the throttle collapses. Although the only thing I noticed was that the wire that loops around the throttle was very very loose, could press down on it about 3 inches. But other boards said it was suppose to be that loose, and I mess around with the instrument cluster a lot and I remember one time I forgot how the wires went on to the spedometer so I just wanted to be able to rule out that it isn't the connections on the back of the instrument cluster. Thanks again!
