240 turn/wiper switches in 140? 140-160

I did a search, didn't come up with anything. I'm wondering if it's possible to adapt the 240 style turn/wiper switch arms onto the 140 column in my '73.

I looked at a set of 240 switches on ebay and they look like they mount the same way. I might go grab a set from a local yard unless someone has tried it already.

Totally differant angle on the mounting faces. I bought a 245 abandoned vehicle from local council only to find virtually nothing will fit 144. About the only thing would be the heater/A/C console, kjet fuel pump, some early doors. Instruments look the same but have difference in printed circuit board.

i have a 74 and the assemblys do look interchangable. i have not tried it yet. i do have a 240 wheel on the car. on thing i noticed is the plastic covers have the holes in diferent places for the switch arms, so you would have to use the 240 covers also.
you would also have to think about wether to use the rear wiper/washer switch in the dash or the ones on the 240 switches. if you have a wagon?
well good luck. tell us if it works.
