Hello everyone,

My daughters dash lights are not working on her 91 940SE??? I've checked the fuse and the dimmer switch but no luck. Anyone have any ideas on what else might be causing this? I'm afraid to let her drive it as she works till late and has only been driving a short time. I appreciate the help.

The information I am about to impart comes from the wiring diagram for the 940SE. The panel lights are getting power through the light switch (It appears to be terminal 13 on the light switch and goes through fuse 10). Check out fuses 24,25, & 25 as well. There is a yellow with white tracer providing the power to the panel lights. Check out the 8 pole connector on the back of the instrument panel that powers the lights. The connector should be on the right side near the top just above the 18 pole connector. Let the board know how you make out with this. If the other lights work from the light switch then the ground should be OK.

Good p.m. and may this find you well. Should we infer all of the lights went out at once? If so, that suggests a connector popped out of its receptable, on the back of the instrument cluster. You will need to remove the cluster.

The FAQ's provide pretty good guidance. See my post of a couple of days ago,for further specifics.

Its pretty likely you'll be able to fix this easily, unless the flexible circuit board has failed.
