Kickdown cable PROBLEM 200 1987

I replaced the kickdown cable except for the sheath that goes into the tranny. I can't seem to push it in all the way. It is a hard to reach area and I can't get any leverage. Any Help? Please.

put some vaseline around the sheath and push as hard as you can. when it doesn't go in any further, get the longest, strongest screwdriver or prybar you can and finish it off. good luck, chuck.

Thanks Chuck! That did the trick. I bought a really, really long screwdriver, lubed it up with some vasoline, and cranked like hell. It finally popped in.
