940 T Auto - should it shift this way? 900

Hi All,

I have a 95 940t auto wagon that I am still getting aquainted with. Specifically, I am not sure if this car should shift so hard. First off, when the car is traveling in the 30 - 45 mph range it will not shift up until it has passed 45 mph - no matter what. So if I am traveling at 40 - 44 mph the engine is turning at 3000 + rpm - which I think is kind of annoying. Most of the time I speed up just to force the car to shift up. Additionally, when driving around town at 30 mph I sometimes let up on the gas and let the car coast a bit. However, when pressing on the accelerator again the engine revs to 3000+ rpm before it seems to start moving the car. This is also a bit annoying. Anyway, I am just wondering if this is caused by the turbo - automatic trans combination. I test drove a couple of non-turbo 940s before I bought the turbo, and neither one of those seemed to drive like this.

Thanks in advance for any comments!
