Rotten Rubber below Throttle Body in B21F 200 1980

My B21F needed a throttle body cleaning. That went well, but putting the black rubber housing that goes below the throttle body (looks like a wide, inverted funnel), has proven challenging. Any tips for reassembling it (eg install upper end or lower end first?). My old rubber thingie was cracked down the middle, so I wasn't careful about getting it off. TIA!

Hi, when i put mine back together i heated it up with a hair dryer so that it would flex better, and i would put the bottom on first. hope this helps

I removed the intake manifold. It was a ton easier but your idea sounds much better.
