Sun Visor Part Question 900 1995

Could anyone tell me if the driver's side sun visor for a 1997 Volvo 960 will fit a 1995 Volvo 940. Mine is beginning to wear out and I noticed this one on eBay.

Also, I removed my visor to see if it could be fixed (it can't) and I noticed a wire going through the shaft where it mounts to the interior. Could anyone advise where the disconnect is for the wire. It looked like it passed through the shaft straight to the vanity mirror's light, but I may be wrong. I'm just not sure how to disconnect it if I install a new visor.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sun Visor Part Question 900 1995

Hi Robert, I would not cut the wire. If your careful you can remove the windshield post cover and the wire is behind that, remove the glove compartment, the connector is in the upper right hand corner.

I'm not sure about the fitment, but the wiring is for the vanity light. To install a new visor, just cut the wire off and solder/tape it together with the wires from the new visor. When i ordered a new visor, the wire from the vanity light was extremely long, which led me to believe that the wires go a long way to the "disconnect point". I would just cut and splice.
