volvo electronic speedo fried?? Please help! 200 1990

I accidentally hooked up a non-used wire to my speedo and now it doesn't work...it blips sporadically, but nowhere near accurately, and often sits at the bottom of the dial. No odometer either. Does anybody have any advice on what to do?

If you connected the tach wire to the cluster and you don't have a tach, the board on the speedo is fried. been there, done that, and I swapped the board from another speedometer that I had laying around, to keep the miles right. The easy fix is just to replace the speedometer or the entire cluster. BTW, if you don't have a tach, tape up the connector on that wire so you don't make that mistake again.

Make sure that all other connections are where they should be, and fully plugged in.
