the wifes was hanging on by 1 plastic clip(has 4)so i took it off before it fell off.i have screws for it now,but it just looks flimsy.even though i've not had that problem.i have noticed others that were missing,now i know why.

so the replacement connects differently than whats on it right now.there doesn't look like a way to spread the tabs on the cover without something breaking.it's hard to get out of the dealer anywhere close to the 6 bucks,i did replace the license plate bolts on all 3,they're about a buck a piece and look so much better than rusted or incorrect bolts.

Yeah I had the same problem with the gas cap problem. I went to the boneyard and got about 4 different ones from Volvos. All of them either didn't fit or had a problem with. I ended up just buying it from the local Volvo dealer. The one from the dealer is a better one anyway. It has a "cord" in a way that connects up.
