Loose fitting hose to fuel rail 200 1987

I was replacing my flame trap today when I noticed a loose fitting hose attached to the fuel rail. It is about 5/8" in diameter. I tried to pull it off but there was some resistance, like maybe there was an inner hose that was not visible. I left it alone but wonder if it supposed to be loose. There is no indication of leaking fuel.

Yes, if it is like mine, there is an inner hose made of a harder vinyl-like material which is sweated onto a barbed fitting, said fitting is then threaded into the rear of the fuel rail. The outer rubbery hose can be rather loose. If you have no leak, leave it alone.
