Hello group. Let me start by saying I've already posted a few questions and the responses have been great and plentiful. Thank you.
My latest question is where can I buy parts either Ottawa, Mtl or in between at a reasonable rate? I went to crappy tire to p/u a new fuel filter for my '80 245 and they told me it was dealer item. I find this very hard to beleive as there seem to be quite a few of these around so there must be a more cost effective supply for parts than the dealer. Anyone?

I'm in the Toronto area, and I've bought many part from FCP Groton in Connecticut. Even after shipping and GST, you're still way ahead of dealer cost. Bosch fuel filter, for example, is $10 US. Just try to put together a reasonable size order, and you'll come out way ahead.
