lights on switches not working 700

None of the lights on the switches on my daughters 90 740 work. The heated seat, the switches to the left and right of the steering wheel I have checked the bulbs with some that work but no luck, any ideas Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

I assume you are referring to the switch lamps above each switch and beside/under the shift indicator. Maybe a dumb question but do ANY of the interior panel lights come on (i.e. in cluster etc.). If none are working then check the dimmer switch connections (from the back, pull cluster) on the cluster at the lower right. I had this work loose and all lights were off.

Greg

The cluster lights work, just the little lights that identify the heated seats the sunroof, the defroster, the antenna and maybe something else I cannot remember I put bulbs in that were working in another car but still no luck.
Thanks for your help Ron

Do the heated seats work? If there is no power to the switch, neither the heaters nor the bulb will work.

I'm not sure which switches you refer to as "to the leaft and right of the steering wheel".

Are you talking about the light inside the switch or the one illuminated the switch indicator? If it is the one inside the switch, you can pry the switch apart from the back and replace it with a 12v mini bulb from Radio Shack. I have replaced both of my rear fog light and the front fog light swich that way.
