Parking break (Emergency brake...) connection question 700

Hello All-

Replaced rear break pads, rotars and calipers. When I did so, I went ahead and figured I would finally fix the emergency brake cables and replace the pads.

The long cable, (left) connected to lever, I ordered from ExpressAuto parts. I have run into two problems. 1) The plastic adjuster right below the carpet is different from the one that was in my car(larger). 2) The little metal piece at the end of the cable that connects to the "bracket thing" inside the E-breaks pads has two heads on it instead of one.

I need to know from what year volvo I can get the correct connetor for the plastic adjuster below the carpet and the "bracket thing" inside the e-brake pad? If you understand what I am trying to explain...you may just be able to help me...

Anyone have any ideas? I assume the conversion can be done...or so I hope!

Best Regards,

Anastasia

They sold you the updated cables. The plastic adjuster you need will come from a 1988 or later car I think. 1990 works for sure.

I went through this several years ago when I replaced the emergency brake cables on my wife's 1986 745T.

Were you looking for caliper holding brackets to fit the Big (11.25" diameter) brakes?

If you aren't in a hurry, I have the plastic adjusting nut for the late style emergency brake cables in my tool box. You can have it for the postage.
