rims and other wheels 200 1992

What other rims/wheels will fit a volvo 240 wheel bolt pattern?

I am lookign for a new set of rims and have found a set of Saab rims that have the same bolt pattern but not sure if they will fit my 1992 245?

any thoughts? or should I just stick with volvo rims. Thanks -

Saab wheels would have a negative offset from the front wheel drive setup. There are tons of used Volvo wheels out there. Check Ebay. I've even got a set of 740 5-spoke 15" turbo wheels & new tires that I may have just sold. If this guy backs out, I'll let you know.
I once saw a post stating late model Ford T-bird 5 lug wheels would fit, but I would not do it unless you could try a set on first. I've got white powder coated Coronas on my 245, and am trying to find one more 14" 740 "dursus" fo my 87 240. Stick with the Volvo ones. Also there are many aftermarket wheels advertised in sport compact. tires.com, etc. You could get a complete set with tires mailed to you, but they are expensive (like $500 to $1000 a set).

Hey Ben,

Any pics of your white Coronas? I am planning the same thing for my 245.

Aftermarket - many advertised, few fit ... 200 1992

Most aftermarkets simply don't offer rims with the correct RWD offset.

Team Dynamics (UK) and Ronal (Germany) still do offer some, though.

Besides fit issues...

Get some Volvo rims on there. For many, the 240 still represents the stereotypical Volvo - I would encourage you to do what you can to maintain its unity in this regard. There are plenty of possibilities: from Virgo to Coronas to shiny chrome caps and rings on the steel wheels. Even the plastic dish hubcaps scream "Volvo." Lots of aftermarket rims look cool too. I guess I am just thinking that Saab rims belong on a Saab - they are just too obvious.

Just because a Saab wheel has 5 bolts doesn't mean it'll fit.

Look for 5x108, 20-25mm offset.
