starting problem 700

I have a 87' 740 turbo. Twice this week when I have started the car it act's like it wants to die out. Then the rpm's go up to the normal range. I go to give it gas and then it wants to die again until I let off the gas. So I turn the car off. Then I crank it again and it is fine. No problem at all. I would appreciate any suggestions or help with this matter.

I have been fighting the same problem for the last 2 months. I have a amm on order (ebay) and will let you know if that fixes it. I have replaced a lot of other parts and it didn't help. Anywho please report back with what fixed yours thanks.

Check your MAF unit. Mass Air Flow Sensor. Maybe you know someone with a similar model you can test with.
