Power steering fluid leaking, HELP? 200

Hi there all, my buddie's '84 240 Turbo Wagon is leaking power steering fluid and is having trouble passing Washington,DC inspection. Is there a quick and inexpensive cure to get this fixed?? A band-aid fix which will allow him to pass?? - then he can focus on the problem at large??

thanks for any suggestions!!

Power steering fluid leaking, HELP? 200

hello!

you might want to tighten all the hose clamps on the hoses that relate to the p/s. also, try cleaning out the p/s pump area to help isolate the pump and to mae it more presentable. I have a minor p/s leak. I cleaned the area and figured it might be from the big hose (sorry, I don't know the tech. term), so I tightened it along with all the other p/s clamps. that kind of fixed it, but the p/s area got dirty again, but it's not that bad. I don't seem to be losing much p/s fluid. never really bothered to get it fixed either.
