I ran on that for a few 10-15% ethanol blend for a few days on a vacation in Iowa and my 940t ran the best it ever has. it looked like it was getting a bit better fuel milage as well. obviously I didn't run it long enough to know if it causes any problems

When I lived in Colorado they switched to a 10% to 15% Ethanol mix on their gasoline. It was to help reduce pollution but a lot of it was political as the then Govenor had promised a lot of the corn growing farmers that he would push it through to help their plight.
The only thing I can recall is that a lot of older cars with the diaphram type fuel pumps soon blew out the diaphram, once replaced they seemed to be fine. I believe due to newer materials being used in the replacement fuel pumps. Some people complained about vapor lock on very hot days but that used to happen anyway. We lived at 6,200 feet elevation so we had a 20% drop in horse power to start with and on a hot day we did get some vapor locking.

Vapor lock! S90-V90

Yikes! I haven't heard that term since the early 50's when we would take summer vacations in my parent's 195X Mercury and the 55 Ford. Just have to sit it out in the smoldering heat. Of course, no AC in cars those days. Had no idea vapor lock still afflicted cars these days..

I use 10-15 percent ethanol exclusively in my 745 NA. Zero problems. It has a side benefit of having higher octane and also reducing tank moisture.

Ethanol in a gasoline engine S90-V90

I was in Brazil about 10 years ago, at Manaus, a very humid area.
They told me there that since the Brazilian government started requiring
ethanol in motor fuel they could not get a muffler to last more than
6 months. Have you experienced that problem?

Do you notice any performance or mileage difference? Since Ethanol is
already partly oxidized I would expect at least some decrement in both.

Ethanol in a gasoline engine S90-V90

Hi!

Well I havenīt been driving my car on the gasoline/ethanolmix for more than 2 days.....but I have a mix of 28% ethanol and have already noticed a slight increase in power (at least it feels like that) and the engine runs smoother and in better harmony....both in idle and any other rpm.The engine is a B6254S.

I will be back with the mpg and performance!!

Greetings from Sweden

Ethanol has 65% of the btu's per gallon as neet gasoline.

MtBE has 81% of the btu's.

You can calculate the power loss at any given percentage.

10% Ethanol gets you 96.5% of the power and MtBE gets you 98.1 % of the power of neet gasoline.

The added oxygen molecules in the the MtBE and the Ethanol will help some fatter(richer) running engines run a little cleaner(more complete combustion) and perhaps even generate a little better mpg. But a late model, properly set up engine will get slightly less mpg, slightly less power and virtually no improvement in emissions. The power and mpg issues vary with car make(engine) and state of tune.
