Rear fog indicator light keep blowing bulbs 200

The rear fog light indicator on the dash of my '88 240 goes through bulbs like you wouldn't believe. I have replaced it with one new bulb and then gone through about six other ones from my pick and pull. in the last six months. Is there another problem that I sould look at besides the bulb. I do use my rear fog lights practically all of the time in the winter, but it seems like the bulbs should last at least a little while. The bulbs last about a month. What do you think?

Thanks and happy bricking.

Alway use a new bulb. The used teeny weeny ones seem to go kaput just in moving them to a new socket. They're cheap at AutoZone, et al.

Why the go out "early" I don't know. Fortunately is easy to change one out.

    Good Luck,

    Bob
