Try one of the many web outlets for The Parts Bin:
http://www.thepartsbin.com/
http://www.alloemvolvparts.com/
http://www.europeanautomotive.com/

Strangely enough, they have different prices on the same parts.

Rather they're all WorldPac distributors. Lots of places around here are. The local CarQuest, some of the local Volvo shops. I believe FCP Groton is as well.

Yup, but still, why are their prices different?
They all drop ship from "close to home", "Over $50 free shipping", etc., etc., etc.
Do get one from out-of-state so (no matter where the parts are actually shipped from), there's no sales tax.

I'd recommend Idaho Foreign Car Parts. Friendlier and make less mistakes than FCP. A hair higher on price, but worth it for the help. They ship from various warehouses. I live in NE and get parts in 1 day from them (from Wharehouse in NJ).

Any good local mom-and-pop auto parts store? Don't rule out those folks, especially ones that supply the area's repair shops. Nobody wants a comeback, so they're bound to sell better quality and more proven parts.

I’ll switch between FCPG and Swedishengineering.com, depending on what I’m buying. S.E. is an independent Volvo repair shop (several) that offers both discounted OEM and after market parts. I have gotten some good information from S.E. and have used their suggestions on OEM vs. aftermarket parts many times. Example:
OEM vs. aftermarket belts including T-belt? Answer, Conti. Just as good, that s what we normally use, and save your self a bunch of money.
OEM vs. after market cat back kit? Answer, Volvo, better quality, all the parts in the box, flawless fit, less complaints, only a few bucks more.
