Fuel Return line specs 200 1988

I have a damaged hose comming off the fuel injector rail,
Appears to be the "fuel return hose", thin plastic looking hose surrounded by thick foam.
I cant snip the hose to get the specs (size) until ready to remove, does anyone have the size?
Also, any suggestions or concerns on replacing this hose would be appreciated.

    Fuel Return line specs 200 1988

    I would splice in a piece of 5/16" ID Fuel Injection hose, using FI (smooth) clamps. Then replace the rubber outer cover or fabricate protection as needed.

    There is very little pressure. I've used this method several times at the other end when working on tank pump problrms.

        Fuel Return line specs 200 1988

        Just make sure you really have the return line. The return line is rubber and exits from the fuel pressure regulator. The high pressure feed from the pump is nylon or some black hard plastic, covered with a foam protecting sleeve. It attaches directly to the rail.

          This is a shot of my B230F engine, 88 Volvo 240 DL
          Which one is the fuel intake? Return?
          Im gonna inclued another reply to this message with image # 2 and looking for low cost alternative repair. Thanks in advance...
