84 turbo stalling 200 1984

Hi,

I've got a 1984 turbo sedan thats stalling immediately after starting up unless I'm giving it gas. It happened all of a sudden, went to the store ran fine, came back out started up, would not idle without gas. Fuel pump relay has been replaced since, no luck. The problem still persists...starts, but without foot on the gas, it stalls right away. Could this be a problem with the catalytic converter? How can I check the catalytic converter to see if its the problem or otherwise rule it out? Any other ideas/tests/possible culprits welcomed. Thanks in advance!

I think you lost a vaccuum line, somewhere along the intake side. If you have an intercooler (half of the 84's did) check those intercooler hoses very carefully.
