I'm on a mission, a transmission, mission..what's the best type of transmission fluid? 900

I'm sure an age old question, but let me ask anyway. I'm curious as to what is the best type of transmission fluid to use in both my 945Ti, and '93 245 normallly aspirated by injection. I would naturally be more inclinded to use a synthetic rather than a non-synthetic. Also, who makes a good or even the best transmission filter kit for home servicing the transmission? Finally, any recommendations at to the best rear end oil? (redline?). Wondering if there are synthetics for the rear end too.

Thanks as always,

J. Beechcraft

See the 700/900 FAQ. Hands down, the best fluid is Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF for both a/t and power steering. Use Mobil, Castrol, Redline, or Amsoil synthetic rear axle fluids.

Muchas Gracias! I do appreciate it immensely!

Off to the parts store for some Mobil 1....better wait and get the transmission kit though.

Thanks again,

Sincerely,
