Fixed speedometer...but odometer does not work? 200

Just took a piece of wet/dry sandpaper and cleaned the contacts on the back of the speedometer post and the speedometer began working. However, the odometer still does not work..Any suggestions from this point forward?

Eric S. has an excellent page on how the odometers work, how they break, and a detailed section on repair. Read the rest of his site, too, as he has a great description of his 240 and all the things he's done to it.
