PepBoys Futura Euro Metric -- any opinions? 200

In my quest for 185R-14 tires for my 245 I came across an inexpensive Pep Boys private label tire called Futura Euro Metric. It is apparently made by Cooper. It is available in the rare 185R-14 size. Has anyone had these on their car and would care to share his impressions, good or bad? Thanks!

Other tires I am looking at are all truck tires: Yokohama Y356, Bridgestone 603V and Continental Vanco-8. These are the only tires I've found in this size. Any comments on these?

PepBoys Futura Euro Metric -- any opinions? 200

I've been using the Futura Eurometrics for about 5yrs. On the possitive side, they are inexpensive and provide adequate traction in most conditions. I've even used them during a rough winter and they got me around OK. The downside is they do wear quickly. I usually get about 30k(or 2yrs) on the usable tread. Also, wet traction does deteriorate rapidly with treadwear.
Actually, today I'm doing what has been recommended by others....switching over to Yokohama Avid Tourings(195/75r14). The Futuras are OK, but I'm tired of purchasing them every 2yrs.

I would research te Yokohama Avid (Touring or T4) line, in 195/74-14 or 205/70-14. I've been thru a few sets of these (Avid T4) with very good performance and wear on my 2 245's.

195/75R14 has better availability and selection 200

195/75R14 has better availability and selection, and typically has a load rating of 92 (versus 90 or 91 for 185R14, so you'd be safe loading the car to the stated limits).

You can use 195-75R14 tires which are almost the same height and more common (nmi) 200
