Speed for a 1989 740 gl 700

Can anything be done for more speed from a volvo wagon 2.3 liter B230F?

Assuming 0 - 60, not cruise 700

In 1989, the 745 ran pretty good for a station wagon. 140 BHP was a lot then. Aside from a general tune up and compression check, you will not be able to go 0 - 60 in less than 10 seconds.

I betcha he could. But it would take some modifications, and money... There's a place somewhere that talks about modifying the stock airbox... A good exhaust helps. Is it an automatic or manual? IPD might offer a camshaft for your engine, maybe not. And what not. good luck, and never say never.
