Cowl Covers............ 200

I'm looking at the cowl covers advertised on the ICD or is that ICP website. They look kind of cool and hopefully they will resolve the ton of water that releases on my feet (passengers too) after it rains and I drive and turn a corner. Anyone like them or have a set to sell?

Thanks always,

JBeechcraft

They definitely add a "cool" look to the brick. I had mine pro-paint matched and indeed keep the crap out of the cowls.

My cars park under huge Douglas Fir trees which drop needles all year long; these needles and other tree debris would go right through the intake grille and were just about impossible to remove. I bought a vent cover for the 1980 two years ago, it did such a great job that last year I bought a set for the '92 at IPD's garage sale. (75 - 85 cover is one long piece, the covers for the 86-93 are two smaller ones since the grille does not extend in one unbroken sweep.) Yes, I do like the look of them also, I think that they look kinda cool. They look good against the dark green of the older car, and the gold of the newer one. They would probably help with the water, but the front edge of the covers stop right above where the vent slots end and it does not extend past that. They get a yes vote for me, and in my cars' case were money it was money very well spent.

IPD is the company (www.ipdusa.com) and the cowl can help with a water problem but there are deeper causes of water in the footwell...I just repaired mine by reaming out the a/c evaporator hose and getting doused with about a gallon of water. I have one of those cowls and I am pretty sure in Sweden they are called snow covers or something because that is their primary purpose.
