i have found a '81-245 Turbo. i want to buy it for the Virgos, rear seat latch, front seat parts, Tachometer, small clock. the price is right. the engine appears to be in tact but i havent started it. Q: should i keep the turbo system/intake/exhaust/electrical or let it go to the bone yard with the rest of the shell? opinions please

Keep the turbo engine. The heads and pistons are different. What's
wrong with the car? If it isn't rusted and it runs fine, why not
keep the whole thing and drive it? Seems like a waste to part out
a good car.

body is rusted, ive seen worse but all doors and around wheels are rusted thru. interior is trashed, dents and dings on all pannels, windshield broken by rocks as target practice. license expired 8/03 and assume has not been started since then.

Well then...

Surely somebody here or on IPD will have a need for some of things on that car. Hell, I just saw a post where someone was wanting a B21FT head. I know if I have a good B21FT motor, I'm not selling the head off of it...not too many of them around anymore.

Further, the tranny is an AW71 (automatic) with the speedo housing (not many of those around) or the MT46wOD (manual) and not many of those around either. Further, have you priced the black turbo trim? OH MY GOSH, what an OUCH! The turbo grill, the fuel distributor, the sunroof gear, by now it may have a new wiring harness (I know you can sell that NOW); you have an eBay gold mine if you are willing to carefully strip, preserve, box, and ship.

Chris
