I-6 Running on 4 96 960 S90-V90

Hi,
I have a 96 960 and I am cross-posting here as well as the 900 forum. I washed my engine bay a couple days ago. Now the car is throwing a code (check engine is blinking). I think I have diagnosed the problem as two of the coil packs are shot? Is it possible for this to happen at the same time? By the way, Cyl 1 (the one closest to the firewall) has some oil on top of the sparkplug due to a leaky valve cover bolt. So, before I go and pay 80 bucks a pop on coil packs, do you all have any other theories as to why my car is running on 4?

Thanks, Matt

Cylinder number one is at the front of the engine, cylinder number 6 at the rear. You obviously got water on a connector someplace and it's shorted.

Leaky valve cover bolt?

What's(re) the code(s)?

Matt,
Have you pulled the coils out to make sure that the spark plug wells are not full of water yet? I think that you will find this is your problem. Dry everything out real well and it should be ok.

I changed the two coil packs and there was no water in the holes. Oh well.
