I found this on ebay today:

It was always an option. Just not always listed in the flossy catalogs.

did they not sell the 480 in the usa? they can be had very cheap here in europe, especially on ebay. they have the volvo turbo motors but are much lighter than you standard brick and have classic 80's lines... what else could you want from a volvo? ... well besides being able to drag with a fridge in the trunk ;)
