Water In The Gas Tank 700 1990

Drove the car all day yesterday. Got 1 block from my home, turned the corner,
and the car just shut off. I had to force it into the far right lane. An officer
came and pushed me into a nearby parking lot. He tried to start it for me, but
it just wouldn`t turn over. He said he thought there was water in the gas tank.
I put some dry gas in the tank and left it overnight. It almost turned over, but
not quite! Any other suggestions?

Now how in the world would he deduce that you had water in the tank?? Start with the basics. Fuel, spark, compression.

Buy a bottle of dry gas and pour it in that should help.
