CarFax or NADA? Are they worth it?

Yesterday I wanted to run a VIN # through either CARFAX or NADA to get a history of a brick I am interested in. I didn't realize that the cost is up to $20. for one single review. The last time I used it, it was only $5. How do people feel about these reports anyway? Are they worth it? Are they real? I am interested in getting responses soon, as I am headed out to look at some other bricks today. Thanks in advance!

Carfax should be your last stop before buying to confirm the car is what they say it is: no flood or salvage titles, etc. It is definitely worth it.
