Car buying assistance............... 200 1990

I live in the Northwest. 240's in decent shape are fairly hard to find, especially with low mileage. But that's what makes them so appealing. Anyway, I'm close to buying another Brick. It's a '90 244 w/ 93K miles. Everything looks good, interior is clean, no rips, etc. The exterior, the body is straight, only minor dips, dings and pimples. No wrecks/accidents. He wants $4000. KBB lists it at $3975. for excellent shape. This is really between good/excellent. BTW, it drives nice. Mechanically it has been maintained regularly. Is it worth it? Thanks!

At that price I'd expect a warranty, at a dealer.
Have the car checked out by a dealer or shop. The $50 you spend will be well worth it. If the car's really perfect, then it might be worth that much. As you say they're rare in this kind of shape.
However, a lot of 1993's can be found for less money than this. And a lot of 1990's can be found for $1000 in typical shape.
Weigh your options.
