Euro headlight conversion 200 1986

The headlight conversion I bought doesn't seem to fit on my 245 wagon. The lenses seem too big and the housings for the headlights are much larger than the OEM. Has anyone dealt with this conversion? I'd like to make these lights fit my car. Thanks for your responses. Arkie

Where did you find the kit? I'm looking for upgraded lighting for my brick.

rdb -- If I can get these *&##@)* lights to fit, I will post you and everyone a message. Until I know I have a good set up, I don't want to steer you wrong. S

I did this conversion on my '93 240. It all fit perfectly and slipped in easily as I recall (did it a year ago). The only problem I can think of is, did you also buy the parking light housings that go with the headlights? These, too, have to be swapped with the original USA lights.
Good luck.

Ken C -- Thanks for the heads up. I do also have the parking light housings, and I will try your suggestion. Appreciate ya. S

240 Euro lights come in pre-81 format (fitting cars up through 85 US) and 81-on (fitting 86-93 cars). Direct bolt on with a little wire swapping. Are you trying to put the early type on your '86? Write me an email for pics or further details.
