Has anybody else experienced premature leakage/breaking of their Boge Turbo Gas REAR shocks on a 240?

I installed full sets (struts & rears) on two 240's within the past two years.

I have one broken and one leaking in the rears of each car ('84 & 86) ALREADY!

Both sets were made in Turkey.

Anybody know if they are warranted?

I've read anecdotal postings here about poor quality control with the Boges made in Mexico and Turkey. You can get the Sachs Advantage (Boge is a division of Sachs) from FCPgroton which are the same things but made in Germany. Not heard of any porblems with the Sachs (I have them on my car).

I thought that the Turbo Gas had lifetime warranties. Let us know how you make out with Boge. I've got sets on each of my 940s. No problems so far.

Yes, exact same shocks on the rear of my 245, failed within 1 year, also made in Turkey. The struts seems to be doing OK. I replaced with Sachs, about 3 months ago, and have been quite satisfied.

Don't know about warranty.
