Hey can anyone diagnose this strange description.

of a black housing which has two cylenders, one three inches long, the other one or two inches, the smaller has electric plugs. They both share vaccume hoses. with one end going through the firewall, the other has fallen off.
Could this be a Cruse Control, or....

Hope someone has an idea

The second nipple is not used per the FAQ under installation instructions.

And one would guess this second nipple is to be blocked off?

Hey

and as we've read before, the front fitting does not attach to anything.
I am just wondering if is left open/off or if it is to be plugged

I think Steve is right. My 940 (practically the same car) has a vacuum pump on the driver's side tower, kind of down out of sight. It supplies vacuum for the cruise control.

Likely a vacuum booster pump for cruise control or assorted accessories using vacuum.

Hey

Very likely, i should follow the hose going to the interior.

Very concerned about hose at front, read somewhere that front hose is not used,
guess it's to be blocked off...or left open to the air?

anybody know it the front hose fitting on a Cruise Control is to be blocked...or...???
