Still having some problems with this 245. It wasn't hardly running when I bought it. So far have replaced-plugs,plug wires, dist cap and rotor, hard fuel line from tank[PO had just used a rubber hose],hose on in tank pump, timing belt, air filter, o rings on injectors, o rings on injector holders and flame trap.
Usually when I go out to start it of a morning, about 6 to 10 rpm's and it starts right off. If I shut it off and restart within a minute or two, it is ok. Leave it longer and it takes for ever. Usually doing a 5 second starter time, it will take 8 to 10 times, but it will start. Usually sounds like it is hitting on one or two cylinders at first and then takes off. Like I said, it always starts, but takes for ever.
Thanks in advance

If you jumper the pump relay will it start better. Doing this pressurizes the system.

Tried that and it doesn't help. Thought it might help to presurize the system.
Thanks

Then I would assume it is either a case of too much or too little fuel. If there is no puff of black smoke when it fires (you may need someone to watch for this) then I would suggest checking the cold start valve spray. I believe it should spray in each case as the injectors don't spray until the air meter opens. My '81 with 300K starts on a couple revolutions.
