1990 740 turbo wagon 700

I have a 1990 740 intercooled turbo wagon. Car is equipped with a factory standard 5 speed. I believe this to be somewhat rare but would appreciate anyone's cooments. I use the car as a daily driver (have about 287K on it) runs flawlessly. It is a great vehicle. Paint and body in excellent shape. I love the car.
Thanks.

A true 5 speed (M47) or 4 speed with the 5th gear OD button (M46)?

And yes, they are hard to find with the manual post-'90. I didn't need an extra Volvo at the time I bought my '91, but it was there, so I bought it. :)

It was too nice to pass up - cruise, leather, sunroof, and most importantly - NO roofrack!

-- Kane ... 'tis my weekend car. Just shy of 209k miles, still on the original clutch and T25 turbo.

M46 tranny, then. Just was pondering, as there were some turbo's equipped with the weaker M47 tranny (a true 5-speed), and I still wonder when and where they ended up.

In a '90, I'd say it's quite rare. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate into "valuable". To those of us with a "Volvo problem" it is considered a very desirable combination. My guess is that in terms of KBB of NADA, it's actually a liability as comparted to an auto box.

I envy you. A couple of years ago, I passed on an 89 745T with 4 speed + OD.

Looking back, I don't know what I was thinking. I should have sold my Benz gone for the gusto.

        Oh well...
