87 760T with cocked p/s pump? 700

The p/s pump looks cocked/angled relative to the crankshaft pulley?
Is there a bushing on the p/s pump mount similar to the alternator that might have gone? I can't see one although I haven't removed the pump.

The thing has eaten a belt in less than a year and I replaced the belt with the newer 1013mm length belt (old one was 1000 mm) which entailed the adjust mechanism bottoming in the slot. It's barely tight enough although the ps doesn't squeal when turning the car.

If/when it eats up this new belt I'll have to take it down from below but until then I'll discuss it!!

Anyone know about this?

PS...my 90 B230FT uses the 1000mm belt and it works fine...also the ps isn't cocked. I really don't want to tear BOTH of the ps pumps off their mounts to compare what's diffo although that's an option...
