fuel pump noisy 200 1990

Any suggestions for a noisy fuel pump? Does it mean that it is going out? Or is it something I just live with?

My noisy fuel pump was caused by an inop in tank pump. Sounded like a bag of bees. Changed the pump last month and the noise is gone. Mine was only noisy when the tank was less than half full. Let me know if you are going to change the in tank pump and I'll tell you what I learnt.

If the mainpump is noisey it could be caused by an inoperative intank pump or a bad fuel pressure regulator. Or it could be on its last legs, but I would guess it one of the other reasons...
