the linkage is making tremendous crutching sounds. I went to a salvage yard this weekend and began taking one out. I was able to get remotely close to removing it. It appear either I have to take out the speedometer, vents, radio and glove box. Is there as easier way to remove the whole dash as a unit or do I have to piece it out?

Removing a dash is not difficult. You can find instructions on Dave Shannon's site. Dash Replacement.

Yeah Don..pretty easy..i ripped one out of a yard today..took about 30 min
