HEEELLPP!!! URGENT!

HELP!

I am having problems with my power steering unit, and have to drive to a wedding tomorrow morning. Up until tonight, the line which connects from the rack to the p.s. filler has had a moderate leak. I have made sure to keep the p.s. res. filled up in order to save my pump. Now it is a sieve, and will not hold fluid. The line has completely ruptured.

I have a long (2 hour) drive to make tomorrow, and do not wish to burn out my pump. How, and what, do I do in order to disable the power steering on my vehicle and spare myself a burned out pump, and still make it to the wedding tomorrow at 11?

THANK YOU!!!

Like Evan said; Cut the belt. My compressor clutch froze up and broke the belt. I drove the car without PS for about two months. It doesn't hurt the rack, and the car still handles pretty well as long as it is moving.

Probably too late to find a hardware store open, but if you have a piece of tubing or a hose barb coupler the same size as the hoe, you could cut it and pop a temporrary repair sleeve in there., use two clamps on each side if it's a pressure line. ( you may be able to find a piece of tubing to fit in the plumbing section of wal mart)

I noticed last time i was at the local parts store, there was brake fluid with stop leak additive in it... May be a quick fix... Good luck..
