i had a dream a couple of years ago in which i was searching for a guy named Handsome Chris. i was running all over town trying to find him, all the while thinking how funny it was that someone had the audacity to call himself "handsome chris." i was intrigued to say the least. when i finally found him he was a short, mildly unattractive peurto rican guy. i started calling myself handsome greg the second i awoke. the fact that im in a glam band really drives the joke home though. but, thanks for your opinion jerk!! =)

1) Brake Booster - reduces the amount of force needed to apply brakes.
2) Windshield Wiper Motor - moves the wipers on your windshield.
3) (Unsure) Looks like a vacuum booster - not entirely sure what it's use it

Going right down your list of pictures:

#1. The Vacuum booster/diaphram for the Brake Master Cylinder. The thick pancake Cylinder is the Vacuum booster/diaphram, and the narrow long cylinder that protrudes from it (and has the brake resivouir on top) is the acutal Master Cylinder.

#2. Those two objects are acutally one device, -your Windshield Wiper Motor.

#3. That two-part vacuum assembly is part of the Cruise Control system.

#4. Picture of a handsome, confused, adult male, aproximately 6' with black hair and plaid shirt. It could have been me back when I was new to Volvos.

i should have known the damn windshield motor! :smack:

but i.... dont.... HAVE.... cruise control. say what?!
any other guesses, or is it one of those "everything but the button" deals where cruise is installed but not "enabled" in all models? confused still

im an idiot. i DO have cruise control!!! its VERY well concealed. you can probably tell the only time i've driven the car is from the po's house to my own. and maybe a few jaunts to the grocery. THANKS!
