Hello. I am about to junk my 1980 245 Wagon in Brooklyn, NY. 190K miles. It runs great, starts every time, has a new battery, good brakes. Body has rust and lots of dents and dings. Various electrical problems; one rear and one front headlight out, no horn, etc. I just bought a beautiful 1985 sedan 84K and need to get this Wagon off my insurance and parking schedule. If you are interested in this car for $100 let me know. You could safely drive it away from my Brooklyn home in the daytime. I drove it to Maine last August, and Cape May, NJ, in May of this year.

If I were you, I would jerk the engine and trans out and sell them on eBay. You will make a lot more than $100.00. The body could be sold for scrap. Steel is up since we don't make it here anymore. If you were near NC, I would take it off your hands, but Brooklyn is a little too scary for me...

if this were only posted 2 weeks ago!!! i was just in nyc and i would have bought it on the spot. i would have tried to drive it back to nashville though. but thats a risk i'd be willing to take for $100. i need a wagon too!

Thanks for the interest. Looks like I may have found someone who will rescue this old warrior. Hey, a few years back I would have driven it to Nashville for bus fare back home! The drive from Knoxville to Nashville is worth the entire trip.

I know what you mean. Lived in Oak Ridge for a while; beautiful country, but Knoxville is a pit-and-a-half. By the way, got a guy who is taking the 245 off my hands. Big Red rides again! Thanks for the messages. JD
