Junking an '82 245 DL....

I'm junking an '82 245 DL with K-jet. The motor threw a rod and it's not worth fixing.

Color: Tan outside, chocolate brown inside. The car is rough -- rusty and dented, and the interior is beat.

Some stuff is gone or spoken for.

Anybody want anything before it goes?

Geez Don, didn't know you ever parted with a Volvo. I would send a sympathy card or congradulations.

Did you ever get that 850? Have been tempted myself.

An agreement with wife. In order to get the 850, I must first dispose of a few clunkers.

This is the first of several '82s going to the great chassis lift in the sky...

I'll probably get the 850 this week. I got 'em down from $3000 to $1900. But, then, I'll need to invest in parts 'n labor, so it's not a freebie...

Great! I would like to learn also, but the FWD board has a different flavor than the RWD. Son has an S70 and so does son-in-law. More electrical things and afraid I need smaller hands. Keep us informed. We are looking at changing coolant hoses, and this alone could be a challenge. Not the main hoses, but heater hoses are somethng else. Makes the 2,7, and 9 series look like a walk in the park.
