2000 S70 Key 2000

I purchased a beautiful 2000 S70 recently thanks to the excellent information many of you kindly provided on this site. The car is wonderful. The person I bought it from was not terribly responsible with a number of things such as the keys. He only gave me one. Is the dealer really the only party I can go to for duplicates of this special, programmed key? If not, do any of you happen to know someone in Atlanta who makes these keys for a reasonable price? The dealer quoted me around $140 per key.

    S70 keys are dealer only items. When we had to have our ignition switch replaced it had to be programmed/coded by Volvo (not the dealer). You will have to provide proof of ownership, VIN etc. in order to place the order for replacement keys. The key remote is also expensive and must also be programmed. You will probably get more responses if you post this question in the FWD forum.
