efi question 200 1989

Nightmare down under with 240 89, LH-2.4 Jetronic, EZ-116K ignition. Get no fuel, no spark and no code signal (only red light while depressed.) Both control units check out fine. Power to control units, to coil and to power stage, but not to pump. Pump will run on remote power. I'm ready to attack it with a chainsaw. Any better idea? Anyone?
Might be power stage or crank position sensor, but would either of them cause a total braekown of the system, including the code signal box? And how to test them to be sure?

Have you replaced the RPM sensor?

Hello,

Sounds like your fuel pump relay has issues. White box in and/or around the fuel computer. Open it up and manually close the circuit on it and see if the fuel pump kicks in. It's an easy find at a pick 'n' pull for 5 bucks, or you can spend 50 at the dealer.

As far as I knew a 240 did not have a CPS or a "power stage" sensor...
