New or rebuilt calipers? 200 1983

The right rear caliper has been sticking and making a groaning noise when I start to drive. What would be a better option, either rebuilt or new? Thanks!

Rebuilt. But if you absolutely can't bleed the brakes after the job, check back here. I bought rebuilds from a reputable rebuilder. One was assembled backwards and could not be bled.

yep, I would go for a rebuild as well. I replaced my right rear caliper that was frozen and had a broken bleeder valve, probably due to PO, last year with a rebuild. I haven't had any problems since.

rebuild...it has been my experience that rebuilds are jsut as good and if not better than new...after all something failed at one time and had to be corrected so hopefully it has been corrected and modified....in the worst case it is the same quality as the new unit and costs a lot less...i had the exat same prob of a stuck caliper on my 240 and i have been very happy with my $40 rebuilt unit.
