Where's the rear wiper relay? 200 1985

I can't seem to locate the rear wiper relay on my 240 wagon.
My manual says it's near the floorboard behind the carpet where the drivers left foot sits but I can't locate it.

I even looked at another 240 wagon in the junkyard but I still can’t seem to locate it.

Can someone please give me some advice?

Thanks in advance.

Where's the rear wiper relay? 200 1985

Unless a PO moved the wiper relays, you'll find them tucked behind a panel at the very left side of the driver's floorboard where it angles up to the firewall.

A very tall driver might rest the left foot there.

Remove the knee kickpad, pull down the carpet at the corner, and look for several harnesses disappearing from under the dash to behind a panel. (The panel is about 5" wide and painted black.)

You can pull one or both harnesses up and the relays are hanging on the end. They're wrapped in plastic foam. The front relay is black. The rear relay is white unless the car has an intermittent sweep option, then the relay is blue.

OHHHHHH............ 200 1985

you mean ....under that dark cover looking shield thangy where all the wires disappear?

DUH!

I thought it was strange that Volvo had moved the relays from the earlier models but when I moved the carpet back and the relays wern't there I just assumed.

Thanks for the help.

That's a good way to describe it.
