Hi

Did anybody try cold weld? Does it work?

If you are talking about a epoxy product (like JB Weld), they work great if used for the right job. They do not substitute for a real weld on metal.

I just read your other post, so I now know the reason for the cold weld product. It's chancy trying to repair a radiator with these products. The reason being a failure at this connection will result in a total breakdown of your car until it is repaired. The best plastic bonder that I have used is sold by ACE Hardware, it's a two part epoxy and is milky white in apperance (they sell more than one product). I believe that the name is "Ace Plastic Bonder". It smells like crap when you mix it, but it's strong and can tolerate higher temperatures. It's also quick set. I've never used it on a radiator, although I have repaired numerous plastic items with it including water lines.
