Replacing the CR-814 in 93 wagon 900 1993

I am about to replace the CR-814 Radio in my 945. There are 6 speakers: 2 in the dash, 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear doors. The radio I am considering has the usual 4 speaker outputs. How does this wire into the existing wire harness and does anyone have any details on the existing harness? I have also read that there is an under dash amplifier for some Volvos. How would I know if I have this unit without taking the radio apart?
Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks!

If you are puttinh in an aftermarket stereo, go to best buy and get a wiring harness adapter. It was about $18. It will click into the factory connectors and have wire leads to splice into the harness that comes with the stereo.

As I recall, you tap into the radio control wiring (power, antenna, etc.) behind the radio in the dash and you connect to the 4 main speakers at the amplifier which is located under the driver's-side dash next to the steering column. I think the 2 dash speakers are powered from the radio and are attached at the connector behind the radio in the center of the dash.
